Jingle Sticks
A hand-held rhythm instrument made from bottle caps and a dowel.
Materials
- Six metal bottle caps
- Six-inch dowel or stick
- Common nails about 1¾ inches long
- One larger nail for punching holes
- Polyurethane or another clear finish
- Optional colored electrical tape and permanent marker
Instructions
Coat the dowel with two coats of polyurethane and let it dry. Use the larger nail to punch holes in the centers of the bottle caps. With the common nails, hammer three pairs of caps along one side of the dowel, leaving enough dowel for a handle. Decorate the handle with electrical tape and marker if desired.
