Igneous, metamorphic, sedimentary

These are the rocks in the crust of the earth

Igneous rocks are from the lava that flows

From the mighty volcanoes

When that lava is good and cool

Igneous rocks will form, that's the rule

Metamorphic rocks are the king of change

Over time they will rearrange

Add a lot of pressure and get them hot

What they are becomes what they're not (chorus)

Sedimentary rocks are like last night's dinner

Leftovers made into something new

Layer upon layer over lots of time
