Chinese New Year is a spring festival, celebrated during our winter. It follows
the Chinese Lunar calendar, and falls between mid-January and mid-
February. This year (2003) it begins February 1st. 2003 is the year of the
Ram, or Sheep. The celebrations typically last for two weeks, although there
are many different ways to celebrate.
