This song is from the Plant a Little Seed CD and booklet, and has been one of my most popular songs with both teachers and children!

This is a fun song for children ages 3-7, but be prepared to get some exercise! Have children stand in a circle, and follow the directions as you sing. Children will join in with you almost immediately except for the last part (changing the tire!). By the second time they will be doing it all!

There were five dinosaurs ridin' in cars

Havin' a "whelly" good time
They said "Step on the gas"

We'll go really fast!

And they did until one had a flat tire
Ca-chunk, ca-chunk, ca-chunk, ca-chunk

Woosh!

And he said "Go on without me!"

REPEAT WITH 4,3,2, AND ONE DINOSAUR
LAST TIME- speak the following in a rhythmic, almost rapping way:

And he said, "I know what I'll do
I'll change the tire"
So he jacked up the tire

And he took off the flat

And he put on the spare

And he said, "I'll pick up my friends"
And then there were five dinosaurs,
Ridin' in cars

Havin' a "wheely" good time
The said "Step on the gas, We'll go really fast"
And they did and down the road they went flyin'
